Forensic USB WritePROtect

The Forensic USB WritePROtect™ adapter, one of the new forensic tools from Logicube, offers users the ultimate protection for hard disk data recovery and drive analysis. Specially designed for use with Logicube’s MD-5 or Talon, this USB adapter ensures full protection against inadvertent over-writes during drive analysis operations.

The USB WritePROtect™ adapter connects to the MD-5 or the Forensic Talon to allow USB connectivity to the source drive for the data capture. In addition, the USB WritePROtect™ adapter guarantees read-only access when analyzing the destination drive under Windows on the users' workstation. This ensures full destination drive protection against inadvertent over-writes. After a successful image capture, the destination drive can remain within the Forensic MD-5 or the Forensic Talon which is then connected to a PC or laptop through the USB port for further informational analysis.

For destination hard drive analysis, the user's workstation must be running Windows 98 or later addition. Data image is compatible with FTK, Encase, and ILOOK. The USB WritePROtect™ is one of the special forensic tools that allows for easy access through the USB to accurately clone hard drives.
