CellDEK®, New Cellphone Data Capturing System Launched WorldwideChatsworth, CA - Thursday, January 04, 2007
Logicube, Inc., the industry leader in digital forensic technologies, announces the introduction of the new CellDEK® cellphone and PDA data extraction kit. The portable CellDEK has been developed in cooperation with the UK's Forensic Science Service Ltd. (FSS®).
The FSS is known throughout the world for its innovations in forensic science technologies, particularly in the application of DNA technologies in the forensic environment.
The FSS has contracted with Logicube to manufacture and distribute CellDEK throughout North America. The CellDEK will access data from the most popular North American cell phones and PDAs, at the scene of the crime. This saves investigators days of waiting for the data to come back from a crime lab. CellDEK will provide immediate intelligence leading potentially to faster interdiction and enhanced evidence. Further development will allow for the extraction of data from cell phones and PDAs used around the world.
The intuitive CellDEK software provides easy identification of cell phones and PDAs. Once the target device is identified, a choice of connectivity is provided. A "smart" cable selection program illuminates the correct cable. Connectivity by infra-red and Bluetooth&tm; are also available. CellDEK then captures all stored data through the selected connection method. Up to 40 cable connectors may be stored in the system's built-in rack.
The CellDEK software automatically extracts, without alteration, the following data: Handset Time and Date, Serial Numbers (IMEI,IMSI), Dialed Calls, Received Calls, Phonebook(both handset and SIM), SMS (both handset and SIM), Deleted SMS from SIM, Calendar, Memos and To Do Lists. The user can then select the appropriate Pictures, Video, Audio and other Files for extraction.
Key Features of CellDEK include:- Innovative cable management system (cables light-up for selection)
- Extracts data from CDMA, GSM, TDMA, and iDen technologies
- Acquires all files from Windows PDAs

"CellDEK is the first and only integrated extraction system designed for the immediate access, downloading and review of data at-the-scene." says Farid Emrani, COO of Logicube. "No other solution identifies, accesses, captures and catalogs cell phone and PDA data as quickly and easily as the CellDEK. Logicube is proud to have been chosen by the FSS to assist them in bringing CellDEK to the market. We are fully mobilized to deliver this powerful tool to our forensic customers in law enforcement and the military. This device complements our extensive range of digital forensic data acquisition and analysis systems, like the Talon® and the Portable Forensic Lab."
"We developed the CellDEK concept with the US Military and are now delighted to see it take an active role in law enforcement and security organizations around the world,"says Mel Moffatt, Commercial Director for International Sales at the FSS. "Logicube's reputation for delivery of innovative forensic technologies and the FSS' position as a premier provider of forensic science services is a formidable combination. We are very excited about this and look forward to a long and beneficial relationship."
